I absolutely detest the faculty at this school. The upper and middle are amazing and honestly helpful. But Christine the lady at the front desk and Mrs. Kathy the principle are rude. When my child was in pre-k I got a letter from the teacher in Oct. saying my daughter had been skipping class since school began in Aug. She would wonder around unsupervised for hours. This went on for 2 months before they even contacted me and they sent me the note because Mrs. Kathy had decided my child was no longer allowed to eat breakfast at school. I ended up having to take the issue to the school board. I also have a son that attended this school. He has issues with licking his lips and one winter it go so bad his lips started to crack and bleed. The teacher sent home a note saying my child had cold sores and was touching his cold sores and touching other things and so he got in trouble for it. I quickly informed his teacher that he did not have herpes, that it was just from licking his lips and I sent a tube of the cherry chap stick with him to school. The school flipped saying medication was not allowed unless it went through the school nurse and that I needed a prescription for that. I went to the doctor got the script and went back. I was then informed that the nurse wasn't available all day to apply chapstick to a child when I should teach him to not lick his lips.(My son is obviously somewhere on the autism spectrum and literally couldn't help himself) Once again to the schoolboard. I have been yelled at in that office a couple of times because I wouldn't back down. They put their petty little issues with the parents above the NEEDS of the children. Just a heads up y'all. Oh and have fun enrolling if you just moved to town. While the other schools will work with you Lower is an absolute nightmare.
